Burning Thoughts and Flooding Ideas

Burning Thoughts and Flooding Ideas, released in early 2013, is my third anthology collaboration with comrade and fellow author Luke Wood as well as several other young authors. Each time he has been the frontman in compiling the anthologies and bringing them to life, and out of the 3, the other 2 being Yesterday and Tomorrow (2011) and More than a Million Words (2012), this one is most definitely my favorite. Thoughts are like burning stars, and ideas, they flood, they stretch the universe. Content-wise, it is evident that all of the authors included have improved in their own writing skills and literary execution thus raising the bar for poetry, lyrics, and short stories not only for themselves but also for everyone else. It includes 7 of my works, which at the time of its development, were among my latest: Cel-Shaded Gold, Certifiable Kiss, Mobile, Shell from Sawed-Off, Sgt. Griffin, Code Red (Army of Gods), and Battery, Electric Personality. Like More than a Million Words and his own essay/short story book Veering Straight Ahead (2012), Luke was yet again gracious enough to allow me to design the cover. More than a Million Words

I am well aware that this briefing regarding the anthology, More than a Million Words, is long overdo, but recently, after reading the book myself, I was then more impelled to share a word on it. The anthology features several young authors, both poets and short story writers, originally compiled by author Luke Wood. It includes 7 of my works that, prior to the release of the anthology, also appeared in Venus in Arms (2012): A Wry Face, Aesthetically Appealing, Film Noir (Trade Some Resistance), Like St. Raphael, Omnia Causa Fiunt, Slipshod Lover, and The Order of Mistakes. I also designed the book cover. The styles of each writer included are exceptionally distinguishable thus executing a diverse compilation that does not hesitate to switch tones and perspectives throughout the read. Yesterday and Tomorrow

The anthology, Yesterday and Tomorrow, has been released and is now available on Amazon. Originally compiled by author Luke Wood, it includes the works of several legendary poets (William Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, Rudyard Kipling, Emily Dickinson, etc.) alongside a number of modern poets on a mission to unveil the dawn of a new era. It also includes 4 of my pieces that are, at the moment, only available in the anthology: Stylus (Of the Wildest Dreams), Pressure of the Hellhounds, ...For the Forgotten, and Kiss the Blarney Stone. There is no traditional theme for the anthology; rather, it is a witness of the times - the apperceptions, values, and ingenuities of the past integrated with those of the present. Is it the evolution of perspective? The reader is at liberty to decide.
