The Gryphon's Quill: A Criss Jami Anthology

Some might ask how an anthology could be a compilation of a single author rather than multiple authors, but isn't a single gryphon a compilation of multiple beasts?

This mysteriously majestic, mythological half-eagle, half-lion has long served as a mascot for my writing and brand; hence, The Gryphon's Quill is aesthetically, of course, gryphon-themed. It includes all my new and previously unpublished aphorisms and rhymed prose, as well as all my old and widely circulated material from Salomé: In Every Inch In Every Mile (2011), Venus in Arms (2012), Diotima, Battery, Electric Personality (2013), Killosophy (2015), and Healology (2016).

Among the many mythological interpretations of the gryphon, such as sovereignty, courage, divine protection, etc., perhaps my favorite is its occasional symbolism of the deity and humanity of Christ: He is both fully God and fully man; He is the King of Kings, both King of the heavens and King of the earth. Therefore, the gryphon in my own lore is of the variety with the upper body of an eagle and the lower body of a lion.

The Gryphon's Quill: A Criss Jami Anthology will be officially released via Amazon on Christmas Day, December 25, 2026, ten years after my last book. Available in paperback and hardcover, The GQ is something I recommend to anyone who appreciates my aphorisms - and would like them all residing together, organized by topic - without having to track down each individual book.

Sincerely, Crymson Gryphon...I mean Killosopher Griffin...I mean Christopher Gilbert, author of The Gryphon's Quill, Criss Jami.
